    Product Review | LottaBody’s Cleanse Me Co-Wash

    September 8, 2016

Co-washing is a popular curly girl method that’s pushed shampooing from its usual spotlight as a staple item in the standard wash day routine. The perfect co-wash will allow you to gently cleanse your scalp and hair while also putting moisture and nutrients back into your hair, eliminating the process of stripping away necessary oils from the hair like many shampoos can do. Enter Lottabody’s brand new Cleanse Me Co-Wash.

What It Is | How to Use It

Lottabody’s Cleanse Me Co-Wash is infused with Coconut and Shea oils to restore hair’s moisture while also cleansing the hair. Used with water, this product is an excellent detangler and has just the right amount of slip to detangle the entire length of the hair from root to tip. Co-washes are best used by massaging the product in the scalp, then using your fingers to gently detangle your hair before letting the water rinse the product through your entire hair from the base.

This co-wash should sit in your hair for 3-5 minutes in order to penetrate the hair shaft, and during this time you’ll see it loosen up some of those kinks and snags to make detangling a breeze. After rinsing, you can follow up with your favorite conditioner or deep conditioner to continue feeding your hair the nutrients it needs.

    • Sulfate-free
    • Paraben-free
    • Outstanding detangler
    • Moisturizing
    • Protects color treated hair

Lottabody’s campaign for this product was #CoWashandChill, and after using this product I can honestly say that this is an extremely fitting because that’s exactly what I did! I noticed right away that my curls were more defined than they had ever been after using this product, and because detangling was so easy, my wash day was significantly faster than it usually is. This co-wash is great for any hair type including those who are protein-sensitive. My hair can sometimes have an aversion to coconut based products but the Cleanse Me Co-Wash isn’t heavy and made my hair feel very moisturized both times I’ve used it. It smells absolutely delicious and the results I experienced lasted for quite a while.

One of the best parts about this product is that it retails for only $3.99 so I will be stocking up on this co-wash. Lottabody has a number of new products that work in sync with this so I am definitely looking forward to trying more from them. Next time you’re looking to free up some time during your wash day and just want to #CoWashandChill, make sure you check this one out!
